Owner, Trainer & Canine Behaviourist: Debra Adderley Dip.CABT (QCF 5)
Debra has always had a passion for working with animals as well as sharing her life with them and currently shares her life with Cooper, a Golden Labrador, Jester, who is a Black and Tan Coonhound and Hugo, who is a Dutch Warmblood!
In 2012 she completed the Dogwise course with The Centre of Applied Pet Ethology (COAPE), in 2014
passed the COAPE higher diploma (Certa Level 4 Diploma In The Principles of Companion Animal Behaviour and Training) and September 2015 passed with a Grade A Distinction, the COAPE Higher Diploma, which is a QCF Level 5 qualification (Certa Level 5 Diploma in the Practical Application of Companion Animal Behaviour and Training), and gained the title Debra Adderley DipCABT COAPE Behaviourist & Trainer. Debra has also done a canine first aid course with Animal Aiders and is a proud member of CAPBT. She has completed the Kennel Club Good Citizen scheme from Puppy Foundation to Gold with Cooper and continues their training doing freestyle and has completed puppy classes with Jester and is continuing with scent work, so has experienced both the learning and teaching side of things. Debra passed the Kennel Club GCDS examiners course and can assess Bronze and Silver awards, is an assessor for Pets As Therapy (PAT), is a full member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT membership number 01436) & working toward Kennel Club Accredited Instructor status. Alongside these commitments, Debra attends regular CPD workshops, courses & seminars.
Trainer & Feline Behaviourist: Charlotte Wardle Dip.CABT (QCF 4)
Charlotte has been an animal lover and owner all her life and currently has 3 dogs, 3 cats, 5 chickens, 2 rats and 2 rabbits! One of her dogs is a registered PAT dog (Pets As Therapy) and regularly visits elderly residential homes and Charlotte is also a PAT Assessor. She has successfully bred 2 litters of Cocker Spaniels, whose owners she is still in touch with. Charlotte's past experiences include working at a veterinary practise developing knowledge on a range of different medical and behavioural issues and volunteering for the Cats Protection League. Charlotte has a strong passion for Canine and Feline Nutrition and how this affects behaviour and quality of life.
Charlotte has completed Canine First Aid with Rachel Bean RVN and attended various workshops as part of her CPD. She recently passed the COAPE Certa Level 4 Diploma In The Principles of Companion Animal Behaviour and Training and is now a Behaviour Advisor.
Trainer: Cathy Wallington
Cathy has been an animal lover and owner all her life and currently has 2 dogs and 2 cats.. As well as being a dog trainer she is a dog walker, specialising in walking dogs that, for various reasons, cannot be walked as part of a group.
Cathy is passionate about enrichment activities to help both mentally stimulate and calm dogs and runs her own business making enrichment toys.
Cathy has completed Canine First Aid with Rachel Bean RVN, passed the COAPE Dogwise - becoming a better dog trainer by engaging the mind of the dog - course with distinction and in 2018 went on to complete, and pass with distinction, The Practical Application of Teaching People and Training Dogs course at WaggaWuffins Canine College gaining a NOCN qualification.
Assistant & Scentwork Trainer: Lucie Le Flohic
Lucie is an animal lover through and through, and especially loves dogs, hugely favouring Dachshunds but owns a Black Labrador called Bear.! Lucie loves assisting in as much as she can at Rixton Dog School and she loves to see puppies come in at week 1 and go out as trained and better behaved dogs. Lucie says the information and skills are truly amazing and to learn so much about dogs and how/why they act the way they do is fascinating.
In the 2 years assisting at Rixton Lucie has progressed onto being a Drug Detection Dog Handler with her dog Bear and has recently completed Scentwork UK training, so will be teaching scent work classes alongside, & as well as, Debra.
Founder & Trainer: Carol Richardson
Carol has been a dog lover all her life and has owned a variety of breeds. She has a diploma in dog grooming and has been working with dogs for over 30 years. She has also worked within boarding kennels and rescue kennels for many of those years. She has owned many rescue dogs that went on to be very loyal family dogs, with some going on to compete and win in competition.
In 2007 she completed and passed a three year FdSc degree in canine behaviour and training at Bishop Burton College.
In 2008 she completed and passed a foundation dog instructors course with The Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT). Carol is also a student member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT) and has been mentored by many of the high ranking national and international Dog Agility specialists. Carol competes in Dog Agility.
The animals that share her life are 4 dogs, Heidi (miniature Schnauzer), Daisy (Bichon Frise) Spike (Papillon) & Minnie (JRT), she also has a cat called Millie and her horse called Murphy.
Trainer: Brian Richardson
Brian is a member of the Kennel Club Accreditation Scheme (currently working towards becoming a Kennel Club Accredited Instructor). Brian is also a UK ralley judge for level 1 and 2. He has owned and trained a variety of breeds throughout his life and has passed the Kennel Club Good Citizen Bronze, Silver and Gold Standard Awards. Brian trains and competes in Dog Agility and has been mentored by many of the high ranking National and International Dog Agility specialists. Brian also teaches KC Rally .
